I recently acquired an ATi TV Wonder VE and i want it to work with Dscaler and a digital converter box and here are the steps that i have tried to make it work...

1) Followed the instructions on the Ati/AMD site...obviously bad idea and didnt work at all, windows device manager found it but Dscaler wouldnt recognize the tuner, but the composite played fine in Dscaler. The MMC had an error and i tried to redownload a couple times and i get the same installation error and then it dies. I wish they had md5 sums to double check...

2) Cleaned out the previous drivers/installation, and tried with BT8xx wincap drivers, again same result.

I have read online and in videohelp that ppl have gotten it to work both ways but i cant seem to do that. Is there something specific on the Ati Card, in print on the philips sticker it says "FI1236 MK2" i tried that but tv tuner still wouldnt work. In Dscaler, it says the chipset is a Bt878 but that autodetect couldnt find a tuner. I am running a nLite'd WinXP SP3 system with 2GB RAM, 2 GHz Processor, and a 500W PSU. Also the firmware(s)/BIOS are all up to date. If anyone can help me, that would be awesome, thank you!
