hi
I've captured some material as an avi dv file via my advc convertor to my PC and my client wants me to supply the material as a quicktime file so that they can edit material using final cut pro in good quality.
Can someone advise me if there's an economical program that will enable a decent conversion?
I do have tmpgenc 4 express but it appears to only convert to what it describes as 'a Quicktime (Mov) Output which it describes a compressed format used for example in digital camera functions'
cheers

Get Quicktime Pro (cheap - US$29 if I recall correctly) and convert the file to a Mac compliant .DV file. It is just a Mac friendly repackage of your DV data, so re-encoding, no quality loss, and FCP should have no trouble with it. Read my blog here.
