Hello...
Need some help backing up a dvd. I have tried Anydvd with clonedvd, dvddecryptor, dvdfab5...nothing seems to work...If I insert the dvd and open explorer, right click it says the dvd is 2.96 GB, then if I expand it and right click on the VIDEO_TS folder, it says its 135 gb!! If I open the folder I see 98 vob files, along with the IFO and BUP files....Anyone had this problem and/or know how I can back this up??
Thanks....

What happens when you use latest dvdfab decrypter and rip/copy it to your hdd?

With 5.2.3 it seems to copy everything and actually shows completed, but I get an error message and need to cancel out of the program. Tried to use 1click to rip a dvd....but it didn't work...Just downloaded the latest version of dvdfab decryptor and that comes up with a screen to send a report when it reads the dvd drive....doesn't even give me the chance to rip it to the hard drive.....Thanks for any help....

Its a cheer video, tried with dvd shrink and tried to open the disc and it said it encountered an error and couldn't continue....Since dvdfab came up with a problem report, I sent them the log, hopefully they can figure it out....

 Thanks........

Whatever that means. Expect no further help based on an answer like that.Originally Posted by gthoman

I'm sorry...cheer=cheerleading..and its not a production dvd, its from a real competition...

I mean its not a commercial dvd, not for sale to the general public....It was created from a competition..

Thank you. In that case ignore all the advice about AnyDVD, DVDFab, etc. As guns1inger says your DVD is either corrupt or very badly authored. This is NOT a copy protection issue. Any decryption program, even the old ones like DVD Decrypter, would work on it if it wasn't damaged or badly authored.Originally Posted by gthoman

Sounds like complications from a badly-made multi-session disc. I'd use ISOBuster and run it through multiiple players/burners to get a complete IBQ file and then extract the sections, demux, then concatenate (merge/assemble edit) the sections into 1 and then author as a straight, normal DVD-Video.

I'll bet all the other recipients of this disc are $H!TTING their pants, too.
