I don't know why every time I join two Xvid video clips using Avidemux (Video = copy, Audio = copy), the end result is always one Divx video, why is this?
Thanks.

What says it's a divx video? Maybe just the fourcc code is set to divx.

It doesn't make a difference. DivX and XviD are essentially the same. The underlying video and audio should be the same, only the header metainfo is different if you used it correctly

You can change the fourcc with nic's fourcc changer if it makes you happy

Wow, I didn't know that before and I just tried it and yes the end result is now XvidOriginally Posted by MysticE

Thanks MysticE, what's the difference between "packed" and "unpack"? and when Avidemux prompts me, am I supposed to "yes" unpack or "no" to unpack? All I want done is 2 Xvids in and 1 Xvid out

 Thanks for the info poisondeathray
