  1. If anyone can shed some light on my problem it would be much appreciated. So here it is...

I'm running Windows 2000, I have reinstalled w2k by itself, at 1 point it was working along with Roxio easy cd creator v5

So now I have completly formated and reinstalled windows 2000 & sp2, when I go to burn a cd it will only let me burn to an image, when I goto Recorder > Choose Recorder the only option is Image Recorder.

I have read elsewhere that I need the correct aspi drivers, so I followed the link to
    http://www.chickensys.com/translator/misc/aspi.html
that I found on this forum and installed the aspi drivers from Adaptec, still the same problem.
The drive an HP cdwriter 8200 at one point worked with nero v 5.5.7.2

I have considered going back to windows98, but I have a 40gb drive as NTFS that I do my editing form my dv camera, on file was 26gb so the file size limit of windows98 is not something I'm looking forward to,

So please I have been searching here at vcdhelp.com (awesome site), the web and Nero without success.

Thanks is advance for any help.

  2. You have to run Nero with Administrator rights. Either log in as the Administrator or hold <shift> and right-click on the icon and choose <Run-as>. You can also click on <properties> and check off <run as different user>. Any of these will get Nero going for you.

Are you using SCSI?, If so I seem to remember I had a similiar problem. It was with the WINASPI stuff. I thought I found the correct WINASPI on the nero site and put it in the nero folder. Also had to put a copy in the WINNT folder to make audiograbber work.
