I recently downloaded a WMV file that have some bits of it corrupted. As a result the player that may play it freezes during some portions of the playback and if I try to recompress it only the first undamaged portion is saved! Is thre anything I can do? Any application that may allow me to save this file properly?

  3. You probably have to re-download it if it's badly corrupted (assuming the original was not corrputed)

You might be able to re-index it with asfbin, unlikely to work however

Thanks I will try the program to see if it can indeed be somehow rescued, if all else fails I will attempt to download it again and hope and pray that the file itself is not corrupted as you said, still that program may do the tricks the others could not...
