  1. My machine is 900mhz Celeron with 512mb memory and 7200rpm 40 gig hd.
I can capture video fine. Have sound while capturing. When I look at the VU meter in the VirtualDub program, it's not moving. Tried all the fixes mentioned on the site...seems like VirtualDub and my sound recording driver haven't hooked together. So close....any forum with detailed info? I need every detail there is. My mb has VIA onboard audio if that matters. Thanks.

  2. I'm replying to my own prob, so if others have this prob, they won't lose an evening trying to solve it. All you need to do is go to your settings on your MMC and in TV mode go to settings, then display, initialize..., then when you're filling in the stuff there, instead of line-in, use WAVE....this was all it took for my VIA-soundcard equipped board to go into full duplex. Only 3 hours to figure it out! Now if I could get rid of that small fold-over line at the bottom of my image...... :P

  3. I have the exact same problem as you had, only when i choose the
initialize wizard icon, i have no "wav" option in the list. did you have
to install something to get that option?
If I capture something in mmc7.1, sound works fine. in videodub I
get no sound at all. what version of mmc are you using?

I have the same problem but get around it by putting my audio into line 2 and selecting that in my recoding panel in windows, you could also put your audio directly into line 1 or what I used to do before I got my SB platinum was use a pigtail on the line in had my video card out to one input and used the other for direct when capturing from a source.
