PLEASE give us as much INFORMATION as possible.

How did you make the DVD? HOme made? Commercial dvd? What software ? etc
What is the audio codec in the dvd? Use mediainfo and open the dvd/vob, change to View->Text and copy and paste the result in this topic.

Does it have a menu ?

If so, what is the audio on the menu ?

I would try demuxing the audio and video, and re-authoring.

Does your standalone DVD player have options for selecting different audio tracks? Some standalone recorders default to odd choices. Yours could be one of them (or the default got set funny along the way). Simply choosing a different audio track (from your remote control) might take care of this.

  8. I had a problem like this once. Don't know if it will solve your problem. Somewhere hidden in the DVD player settings menu there might be different options for speaker setup. Try selecting different options and see what happens.
