Hello, everyone
I will go straight to the point, about 2 weeks ago my system was OK and I was able to burn AVI's, Xvid, DivX and DVD files to DVD's using Nero 7, TMPGEnc aw 4, Xilisoft DVD creator, VSO convet X to DVD, and now all the dvd's that I burn for some reason they are corrupted I'm not able to play them on my dvd player, I get an error on tv stating dvd on player its dirty, my PC system warning reads please insert a blank media and other times reads what do i want to do with the blank media and I can't opened the DVD's a second warning reads unable to open or read disk,
I'm thinking that it may be a codec broken or corrupted, I have uninstall the codecs K-lite and Xp and installed a most recent version of them but no luck, the problem persist, also I have uninstall the media software and reinstalled again , I went and made restore a back up file when the system was running fine and the problem it's there
Do I need to start from ground cero and clean the drive c: reinstall the OS and so on ? or there is a tool to find any problems with codecs or test the burning drive ?
thanks in advance .........and hope there is a solution with out having to clean and reinstall everything

Did you switch to a different DVD media recently? What DVD media are you using?
Have you tried the burned DVDs on any other PC or DVD player?
When you burn your DVDs, do you have Nero also verify what has been burned?
Also, you might try burning your DVDs one speed slower and see what happens...
This might be a good time to use DVDRWs so that you don't waste DVDR blanks while you're experimenting.Frank Zappa: "People wouldn't know a good movie if it smacked 'em in the face."
