I know eureka, but what other places are good to buy from. I want the indiana jones movies (eureka doesn't carry) on vcd as well as star wars (does carry). I was curious if anyone had purchased any vcd movies and from what retailer and have you had any problems getting them shipped to the USA. I know there are posts out there about this subject but the search feature hasn't been working here lately, keeps telling me temporarily offline. Okay before I begin to ramble, anyone have any suggestions?

    thanks,
    TW

p.s. I figured the cost of purchase was acceptable, given that getting them through peer to peer is an iffy business and the newsgroups sometimes takes awhile to get someone to post, if anyone even had it to post. I know a couple guys on the newsgroups are looking for indiana jones as well.
Anyway, I rambled anyway. LOL. ttfn

  2. honestly were i you i'd rent them from my local video club and make them in vcd (save some money...) other than that ebay often has the star wars i don't know about indiana jones though. or if you live in a big city you might want to check out the chinese section of town (that's what i did found 4 places within 3 block that sold vcds)

renting them wouldn't be really a good idea. The only vcr I have is my kids vcr, 4 head mono, so the sound would be well shit. I live near saint louis, but um, I've never heard of a chinese section of saint louis. So I guess I'll check out ebay.

    thanks,

  4. For Star Wars go to www.videomas.com and they are selling it for $15.90 U.S so get Eureka to price match that and then get a further 10% off by using the VCDHelp Banner.

As for Indiana Jones it was never released on VCD officially (about 85% sure on that), the sites that sell them normally are the laser disc's ripped versions so you dont really know what quality they are. Just search on Ebay or on yahoo with something like "indian+jones+dvd or vcd" and you will turn up plenty of sites
