I used to use orbit too, but I stopped because it wasn't being updated and it stopped working on a lot of sites. You might try StreamTransport which is free and works better but there are still some things it can't get.

StreamTransport hasn't been updated for over a year, it doesn't work on many sites, like Hulu, despite that being its main "feature" according to its website.

Still works for some streams though, so worth a try.

    REinstall Orbit.
Then you should be able to UNinstall it properly.
Hopefully this includes the browser plugins that are giving you problems.

    According to http://www.orbitdownloader.com/how-to-uninstall.htm
you delete the orbitdownloader folder from c:\program files\

and the orbit folder from c:\documents and settings\*your_user_name*\application data\ << this is the XP folder name,
probably different in Vista or Win 7

    They've got a forum, http://forum.orbitdownloader.com/

    Ask there.
Be descriptive and not accusatory if you want them to help.
