XviD MPEG-4 to DVD with Subtitles

I have download Bruce Lee's films from internet in XviD MPEG-4 format and I found subtitles in "srt" format for those films. When I check sinhronization with Subtitle workshop everything is O.K. but when I convert the movie with WinAVIVideo converter with VOBSUB plugin instaled the subtitle is always late abou 8 sec. I have try with subtitle delay in subtitleworkshop, and then first 5-10 min of movie is O.K. but how time is going forward subtitles are late again. I've try with Timeadjuster tool but same results.Any sugestion how to convert movies in DVD with proper subtitles.

Just buy/rent them on DVD instead...
