Has anyone use the Mercalli Stabilizer Plug-in for Sony Vegas Pro 8? How does it compare with using VirtualDub's Deshaker? VirtualDub does a good job but it's a separate application. It would be nice to have something that is Vegas plug-in.

EventDV Magazine has a demo and review of it here. http://www.infotoday.com/eventdv/mercalli/mercalli.html
It looks pretty good at least as presented here. -
Hi guys ... am having a bit of issue with macro video and shaking hands ...
I have been using deshaker in virtual dub but it seems that the shaking is not as apparent any more but it still seems to show that the camera is moving. Does anybody have a proven settings to get the subject to appear steady at all ????
Thank you
Cheers
PS: i am wondering about the Avisynth ????
