I'm new to this forum and came across it searching for answers and there seemed to be alot of good info here. Unfortunately I could not find the answer to my problem.
    Here goes:
My HTPC works great with dvds both via the disc and ones that have been ripped to the hard drive.
My problem is that I am trying to link tv episodes, via the discs from the series boxes via my movies. I discovered that I can combine the ripped vob files and then just rename them as .mpg for VMC or just WMP11 to play them. I downloaded ffdshow and I finally got Dolby Digital out from both VMC and WMP.

Here's what I'm working on now. I can't control the video in either program. If I just click play it's fine but I can't skip forward, back or pause. I can play it through media player classic with no problems except that it doesn't output into the Dolby Digital, or atleast not that I can figure out. anyway, I really need them to play via media center for it to be of any use to me.

    Any help is appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Tim C.

VideoReDo or MPEG-VCR would be two to look into. Or MPEG StreamClip for freeware. Others here: https://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/video-editors-mpg-dvd

    And welcome to our forums.
