    Hi experts!

I bought 2 wireless USB cameras and installed them along with WinDVR, which came with the kit. They sort of work, but I have a few problems with them.

Firstly, the when not recording, the screen is just black unless I move the window around, then I can see flashes of what the camera is currently seeing. However, if I record a bit and play it back, I can see the video clearly. Is this a video card problem?

Secondly, the recording stops for some reason after some time. I start the recording and turn my monitor off, and last time it stopped recording after about 6 minutes, seemingly for no reason.

I'm a newbie to this stuff... any help would be appreciated!

Is anyone able to help on this issue? Sometimes the cameras don't record at all, even though the record button is depressed. The file is 150-200KB in size, but is 0:00:00 in length. There must be something basic that I'm missing on how to set this thing up. Help!

Also, when I press record, it says, "Recording in this resolution without viewing." What does that mean?? It still shows the live feed on the screen.

By the way, I figured out that the screen was blinking and having problems because I had Allow Text Overlay on. I turned it off and now the video comes in clear...

What does the manufacturer support line say?

You never even identified the product. Don't waste our time. Give details.

Ahh, yes, sorry about that. I got the USB Wireless 2 Camera DVR Security Surveillance System with Night vision - GP2, model number 812GA2, manufactured by AGPtek.

I was capturing at first with WinDVR 1.0, which came with the kit and doesn't work, but then downloaded a demo version of WinDVR3, which seems to work. However, it closes after 10 minutes and Intervideo doesn't sell this product anymore. So then I tried Windows Movie Maker to capture. In the preview window, it looks like it's capturing correctly, but when I play back the WMV, it's all distorted, but with the very occasional frame that looks correct.

If you capture normal video it should all work so your problem is getting AGPtek to support you or dumping it for a camera system that exports standard video.
