    I've been using cce 2.50 with virtual dub for frame serving i would
    like to start using 2.64 but when i try to open the file from V.Dub it
    recognizes it as not being an avi can i get round this.

    Not really, CCE SP 2.6x do not accept VirtualDub frameserved files. The only way is to convert the .vdr with VFAPIconv.1.03b. Then load fake vfapi.avi into cce.
