I AM A NEWBIE AND HAVE STARTED TO USE NERO. FOR SOME REASON I WILL GET THE PICTURE FOR THE DURATION OF THE DVD BUT THE SOUND DISAPPEARS AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND NEVER RETURNS. HOW CAN I FIX THIS ? IT HAS HAPPENED TO MORE THAN ONE OF MY MOVIES I HAVE RECORDED. THANK YOU

NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION AND TYPING IN ALL CAPS IS IRRITATING TO OTHER POSTERS AND NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU WANT REPLIES. IT IS CONSIDERED SHOUTING ON THE NET.

Nero is generally not a good converter and I would try something else. What format are you converting from? You can use Gspot to find out. I assume you are converting to DVD MPEG format.

    And welcome to our forums.

It seems odd that the sound would disappear. If you are doing AVI type format to DVD, try FAVC or Avi2Dvd or DVDFlick. They are all freeware. Or try the payware ConvertXtoDVD. I have no idea what Nero may be doing.

I would also try playing back the VIDEO_TS folder on your computer after Nero or other tools create it. You can use VLC Media Player for that. If the audio is there, maybe a burning or media problem, though that is unlikely.
