  1. I have some good flv movies but i wish to crop the left side and right side by a few pixels (67 to be precise).
    Which tool can i use?

Will it affect the qiality of the output?

I do not mind onverting to mpg (my fiinal output format and then cropping but would the quality be affected more that way

If i crop and resize in a single operation am i right in assumin that cropping is done first followed by resizing and not the other way around?

It depends on the tool as to what order things happen in. If you are converting to mpeg then you would be best to use something like virtualdub with the flv plugin. Crop first, then resize, then frameserve to your mpeg2 encoder. This will minimise quality loss by forcing only a single re-encode.
