    can anyone suggest a freeware dvd author that can make custom motion menu screens(using footage from the video it burns).scene selection menu.import vob and burn without re encoding.make chapter marks for the vobs.FAVC to Imago to author.thank you very much for any advice or suggestions

    GUIForDVDAuthor can do most of this. Motion menu backgrounds are best created outside the authoring tools.

    guifordvdauthor has a chapter editor,very nice thanks.i didnt see that before.surely there is a freeware menu creator that can make a motion menu background.the thing that i dont know is how that works.if i make a menu can i just burn it with the vobs with imgburn or would i have to import it with guifordvdauthor?love your logo by the way gunslinger

    Read GfD's help. It explains how to do animated menus.
    Probably the best way to use an existing VOB set is to extract the video as M2V and audio, eg using VOB2MPEG.

    is the animated menu generated automaticly from the m2v?tag animated menu under project set time interval.it dosent say how to load the animated materiel and i get nothing in the preview.
