    Hi Guys,

I provide alot of tutorial content for Youtube and I use Hypercam to record my tutorials. I use 10fps when recording my tutorials (my PC can't keep up with 30fps) and use the H.264 codec with a bitrate of 1000kbps with dimensions of 640x480. The problem is that because my tutorials are low in motion they usually have a bitrate of anything in-between 261-350kps (when checked with Gspot). This is a problem because I would like my Youtube videos to have the "High Quality Link" available so that my subscribers can see the tutorials at full quality. The reason this link is unavailable is because in order for a video to be classed as "High Quality" it must have a bitrate of 600kbps or more. So my question is there anything I can do to make sure my video stays over a certain bitrate??, I have even tried using a bitrate of 10000kbps when recording my movies but that still doesn't work.

    Any help would be appreciated...

    -Regards

Capture with a lossless codec, only later you should convert
the captured AVI to H264 or anything.
And try something better than Hypercam next time.

    Hi Guys,

Thank you for the responses so far however I still haven't found my answer. I did as you said and used a lossless codec first to make my recording. The file was huge and so was the bitrate which was to be expected however after compression with the H.264 codec at 1000kbps the final bitrate of the file was only 256kps (when checked with Gspot) which of course is far short of the 600kbps second mark. I even used DivX and specified a bitrate of 2000kbps and it came out nowhere near that mark. I can't upload the uncompressed version onto Youtube since it's far to large. I am thinking this is a low motion problem. Is there anything I can do to ensure my encoded clips come out with a bitrate of 600kbps or more?.

    -Thanx Again
