    I have 2 movies, each movie has 2 .avi files to it, they are both ac3 audio and each movie half has a .srt subs to go with it. I want to burn them with subs and keep the audio 5.1 I would use nero but they dont support subs.

    If you want to convert them to DVD, try DVD Flick. It will keep the 5.1 audio, allows you to use subs, and can join the two parts into a single title

    I think you can use convertxtodvd or total video2dvd author to make conversion and add subtitles to DVD
