32" BUSH HDTV - Shimmer up screen

I started a thread sometime ago about this 'shimmer' that runs up the screen on my HDTV - it only happens very quckly on occasions and sometimes it happens a few times per minute - I was told that its the TV strugglin with digitizing the SKY scart signal... So i tried the RF ariel and it was still the same , However - it does not do it on the DVD player but that is through HDMI... like right now it aint done it in hours but tonight it will.....

what can this be?

perhaps I should try the DVD player through SCART... it never used to do this

If it is occuring through multiple inputs, it is likely a hardware issue and needs to be repaired.

Shimmering on HDMI inputs, is similar, typically being a cable issue or a hardware issue.

Either way, aside from tying different inputs and/or different cables, there isn't much you can do. Have it serviced.

it only happens on SKY thru SCART and RF but sometimes its constant then it wont do it for days... DVD thru HDMI is spot on... so i think it MAY be SKYbox i dunno

You could try another piece of hardware on the same inputs, such as a VCR or the DVD player. That would at least help to rule out the SKY box or the input.

yeah your right - i will when i see it happening again , preferably the DVD through SCART as someone a whileback said its the TV struggling to digitize the SCART signal but then i tested on RF and was still same
