  1. Hello,

    I have a 4.5G MKV file in 720p format. Now I would like to convert this video into a DVD without losing the quality. I am assuming I have to cut the video into 2 or 3 segments.

    FAVC has always worked wonders for me in this situation, just make sure that you check the bitrate on the audio - if it's AC3 then chances are it's at 640 which is not dvd standard...

    Impossible to retain same quality.

    You are going from 720p to 480p for NTSC DVD specifications. You will lose quality regardless of how many segments you split it into. Furthermore every subsequent conversion using a lossy compression codec will result in farther quality loss.
