Hi, I'm sorry, I'm new, and am not sure where to post this post. I am currently using Pinnacle Studios 11 to create DVDs and VODs (online videos of Windows Media Player format). But I have seen some videos on youtube.com that are in great quality. I'm not exactly thrilled with the quality that PS produces. I have a 3CCD camcorder so I know my footage is of crystal clear quality. I have done the "highest quality NTSC" and "highest upload quality NTSC" in PS but the results look the same.

I heard that Final Cut Pro gives about the same online video quality as PS. So I'm guessing that software is out for me.

Someone mentioned that Ulead Plus 11 did a fine job. Does anyone else confer? Could anyone tell me which software I *should* be using? I also need the capability to convert PAL to NTSC. And the more main video lines (or whatever they are called) the better.

    Thanks so much in advance!

Have you tried Windows Movie Maker? It's native in WinXP. You can get very good results using WMV format.

yep...vs11+ (as long as you've installed windows encoder first) does a very good job with the wmv codec...choose square pixels for the web

I've put hundreds of clips on the web...some even mine

the problem with this codec is that the default settings are not even close to what you will need. MS has a page on how to tweek wmv
