I have a movie that is split into two files. The audio is japanese so I have two english subtitles. I'm looking for a way to join all four pieces into one file(join the 2 movie files, and join the 2 subtitles). The sub files come in both .idx and .sub files. I know I can do it with convertxtodvd, which I have, but I don't want to do it on there because when it switches to the next split file on my dvd player it pauses for half a second. So I don't want to see that glitch.

What would the easiest way to do this?

ConvertXtoDVD 3 should be able to do seamless joining (it claims to - haven't tested it).
    Read my blog here.

I guess you have avi files? Then join with virtualdubmod or avidemux. Join the sub/idx with vobsub( a join tool is included in version 2.23).

I tried it on a movie and it seems like it does a little skip in between files.

I'm in virtualdub mod. What filter do I choose when I go into video>filters? I don't see one that would best fit what I'm trying to do(adding subtitles).

edit - Nvm I installed VSFilter.vdf file and clicked on that filter in the filters. The subtitles are just not showing up for me even when I click them.

I might just leave it as is and finish converting the movie with the subtitles in convertxtodvd 3
