Which printer, exchange required for dud R230

Harvey Norman, a large electronics chain in Australia have just phoned me to say that my epson R230 is not repairable and to come in to purchase another printer for exchange.

I've got about 50 ink cartridges for the R230, however this isn't a problem as I have another R230 printer.

So the question is, what printer to buy? From what I've seen is that it is getting harder and harder to get printers for which you can get cheap ink and as we all know when you buy a printer, its all about the ink costs.

Another option, as I already have an R230 is to purchase a B&W laser printer, but does that also expose me to high toner costs?

BTW, don't need a scanner.

We have an HP laser at work. It's Monochrome and takes one large black toner cartridge. I don't recall the model number of the printer right off. It's basically our receipt printer at the store and we probably run through about 100 pages per day on it. Toner costs us about $90 USD per cartridge but it lasts about a year at a time. I'd say overall it's a lot cheaper.
