    I want to join 2 avi files. One is only about 20 seconds and i just want to join it on to the start. The long one is really good quality video/audio, while the 20 second clip is really bad, just taken with a phone camera. If i join them together in Virtualdub will there be much quality loss? Like is it worth adding 20 seconds?

    Add them both to VirtualDub and render with the some properties as the highest quality clip.
