I bought a dvi to hdmi cable today, but when i connect the lead to my computer nothing comes up when i go to the hdmi/dvi section on my tv. When i go to the nvidia control panel i dont see any options to set my HD and all that. I have a LG 22ls4r and a Nvidia 8500gt 512 SLI. Does anyone have any solutions? Heres a pic of the nvidia control panel

First, you will need to have the TV powered on BEFORE you power on the PC. Second, you should just be able to enter the nvidia control panel an duse the wizard for setting up dual monitor support.

You may also want to ensure you have the latest video drivers.Google is your Friend

It's all about the Nvidia 8500gt 512 SLI settings for resolution and frame rates and matching those accepted by the TV. Read both manuals.

The native resolution for that TV is 1680x1050.

Other option is the PC port with VGA.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
