    Sorry for the "old news", I just heard of it. Typical for me, I guess. So with one of these drives a person could still use a P-P file sharing or Bittorrent?

  5. The idea behind the server software is it let you setup a standalone file share that can be accessed over the internet. Basically it would allow you to access your files remotely without the need of one of your computers at home. So this limitation was added to satisfy the Digital Media Laws. As for the drive itself it does not add the limitations. So there is after market software you could run as well.
