i wonder if anyone here has experienced this particular fault with the rd-xs24
the machine will not go into standby mode.
it's approx two years old and has worked flawlessly until about a week ago after
a very heavy storm. it's connected to a sky box (uk,pal)via scart cables.
all functions work including timeslip, apart from standby.
electing to go into standby after making a recording leaves a frozen picture, frozen recorder
with the only option available left is a forced shutdown or unplugging the unit.
anyone any ideas? leaving the machine in"ON" mode results in the fan being on permanently.
Thanks in advance.
Ray
