I wasnt sure where to go about this so I just posted a new topic. Im trying to backup one of my movies onto a Dual Layer Disc (DVD-R DL). First, Im not sure what program I should use to do this. Ive gotten as far as making the image file for it but when I go to burn it using ImgBurn I get quite a few errors such as cannot set the layer break positon when burning DVD-R DL in DAO mode. Ive tried using layer jump to to fix the problem but then I get errors such as Invalid Address. Can anybody help me with this problem?

Probably the easiest way is to rip it to your hard drive with DVDFab HD Decrypter, assuming a newer encrypted video. Then just burn that folder with ImgBurn in 'Build' mode to a Verbatim DL +.DVD disc.

If you aren't using Verbatim, that would be your first problem.

And this forum is for posting User Guides. Moving you to DVD to DVDR / HDDVD & Blu-ray Backup Forum.

    And welcome to our forums.

My bad. Wasnt sure where to post. Im new to this site but I'll remember that in the future. Thanks.
The Disc im using is a Ridata. Ths is the first time I tried using dual layer so I pretty much have no clue what im doing. I know how to burn regular dvd-r's but I decided to try the DL so I could keep all the features of the movie itself. So im guessing I need to rebuild the iso i built with the build option on ImgBurn?

If you have a valid ISO, just burn it with ImgBurn. The default mode is for ISOs. The 'Build' mode is for VIDEO_TS folders and non-ISO formats. The program also burns DVD and CD data discs.

With Ridata, you have maybe a 50% chance of success at burning a DL disc that is readable, though some have better luck. And it depends on your burner and the 'write strategy' it uses. Verbatim DL+ has been 100% successful for me so far, and many others. Try one first and decide for yourself. DL 'coasters' are expensive, and though the Verbs may cost a bit more, they will be cheaper than several failed burns.

DL burning is not a mainstream operation as yet. Very few, if any, DL manufacturers have sucessfully produced discs that work consistently except Verbatim.
