No I don't work there or own stock in the company but I thought I'd just post what I bought at a reasonable price!

I hate OFFICE MAX and don't even bother going there since they no longer match prices with any other stores. Plus they jack the prices of VERBATIM DVD media by $5.00-$10.00 more per spindle here in Hawaii when it's on sale for the rest of the USA.

Because of additional taxes on CD-Rs in Canada, they cost more than DVD blanks, so yeah, I would buy 100 CD-Rs for $25.00!

Where as OFFICE MAX does jack up the prices on their VERBATIM dvd media when it's on their sales ads that are on the national level. That's why I have a beef w/OFFICE MAX. As I mentioned I don't even go into their stores to buy anything since they don't even match price any other stores.

Skip them altogether and get a Sam's Club Membership.
100 packs of DVD-R or +R Verbatims are ALWAYS $26.98,
and some locations stock the 50 packs which are ALWAYS
$12.98. Don't buy from their website, the Prices are higher than in-store.

Sam's is what? $50 per year? I've always found the notion of paying for the privilege of shopping to be a scam. I guess it's good if it's close and you've got a family. They do have a lot of groceries and household items. I use those "free weekend" coupons that Sam's and Costco send out from time to time, maybe buy a book or DVD, but that's about it.
Aren't they also highly unreliable on the brand and stock they carry? Verbatim may be sold now, but in a couple of months, that could change. It's more volatile than a normal chain outlet.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Saturday, I was driving on the highway, looked over, and saw an Office Max and remembered the sale. I drove up almost to the front door, walked in, asked the guys where the blanks were, was shown, bought the -R cake, and left. I swear I wasn't in Office Max any more than 45 seconds.
It was cool...and made in Taiwan.
Believe it or not, I saw the same deal online shipped for $20...you can too. -
