I'm sure the gurus have a simple answer but I just could not overcome jerkiness/freeze/dropped frames after ripping a dvd with DVD Decrypter and saving directly as a ISO file for further authoring/burning.
What I discovered was if I ripped a commercial DVD and saved to hard disc as VOB/IFO files in normal TS folders etc AND THEN authored with DVD Shrink 3.2, I had no problem and could burn perfect DVD discs. Similarly, the ISO files I could play back direct from my hard drive using 3 different players with no problems....so I'm estatic.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the way you would have to do it anyway if you want to author sub-titles?
Good luck and good ripping to all.
