  1. To begin with, i always make "DATA DVDs" so i can do what i want with my videos later.

    I was asking myself if it would be possible to make a playlist, the matter being i don't know what format this playlist should be in. I know for instance that for the mp3s it can be a .m3u file.

    Anyway if people stopping by this topic have made such experiment in the past hope he can answer my question.

    It's all up to the playback device or software. m3u is (IIRC) WinAmps playlist format (adopted by other players too) and no std as such. Some players support some kind of playlist, some don't. No "universal" solution.

    No stand alones support playlists. Most will allow you to set the order of playback for that session, but nothing is retained. If you want the files to play back in a certain order, add a 2 digit number to the front of the file name 00, 01, 02, 03 etc.
