I have an avi file that has audio identified as 'Mpeg-1 Audio Layer 2' (in AVIcodec util). I can't get VirtualDub or TMPEGEnc to use the audio. I get 'source format tag: 0050' in VirtualDub and the output file from TMPEGEnc has no audio.
I do get audio when just playing the file with a video player (Zoom Player). I have ffdshow installed so I tried setting MP2 to 'mp3lib' and also 'libmad' under its 'Audio Properties' dialog, but that doesn't work either. I've tried to find a Mpeg-1 Audio Layer 2 codec, but all the links I find are dead.
Where can I get a codec that will work with VirtualDub/TMPEGEnc?
