    Sorry if this has been answered before but I did a search and found two topics close to this. Both ended up as user errors.

    I'm having problems copying several dvd-r to my hard drive or onto another dvd-r. I've tried using copy disc on Nero and it gives me errors. I've used DVD Decrypter and DVDFab with no luck either(it just hangs). I have no problems watching the movies or burning anything onto a dvd-r from hard drive using this DVD drive. I don't understand what's going on. There are nothing wrong with the discs as far as scratches.

    Are there settings I should be aware of when burning initially so I can copy it later or are there settings when copying a previously burned dvd-r?

    The original DVD burn is a coaster -or- the DVD reader is not very good.

    Changing software isn't going to help.
