Hello all,
I was thinking about using a screen capture tool to record screensaver video, but when I tried this before the recorded video was choppy, not smooth like it was when playing on the screen. I searched the forums here and it was mentioned that it was due to the fact that screensavers take up a lot of CPU. I was wondering if we just decreased the priority on the screensaver exe and increased the priority on something like camtasia, would that clear up the choppiness?
Anyone have any better ideas?
Thanks,
curt1s

Most screensavers use a stupid amount of CPU for what little they often do. Reducing the priority probably won't help you much. If it speed up the capture it will slow down the screensaver, and the net result will be the same.

If you have s-video out and a DVD recorder you might better off just hooking the two up, and recording your screen that way.Read my blog here.
