My DMR-E50 isn't reading disks anymore, will a different Panasonic recorder read the unfinalized disks from my machine?

	The same model should for sure. Not sure about different models, though I suspect they would also. If you are shopping at a B&M store, just take a disc with you and check. Google is your Friend

	I have tested unfinalized disks made on a DMR-ES35V on a ES45V and the new EZ47K. They all play and I have finalized ES35V disks on the EZ47V and those all play on all the units as well. The E50 is quite a bit older than these however.

	Yes, a friend had two DMR-50's which refused to finalize discs. He bought a pair of DMR-EZ75's to replace them and was able to finalize the discs with those.Originally Posted by jjis

	Clean your laser too. This is something that you should do at least every 2 years.
