    Hello,
I have a rather large company asking me about user tracking on DVD menus. When on the computer they want the DVD to connect to the internet and send back tracking info. Is this even possible?

Or if some one clicks an internet address off the DVD is it possible to see if it came from the DVD?

    Thanks!

The first part is not possible, and frankly it wouldn't work on my PC as I would have the firewall block the traffic.

The second is theoretically possible, however I don't know of any software that will author it for you.

Don't you need a special dvd software player to be able to have links in the dvd? See http://www.mmbforums.com/ipb/index.php?showtopic=17963

Thanks, that's what I was thinking but I had to put it out there.

You can do the links in DVD Studio Pro but the user needs to install DVD@CCESS to be able to click them.
