I am trying to figure out how to open a Kenwood AM/FM/DVD player to region free. It is a KDV-412. Any help is appreciated. i have been searching and not found it any where yet.

Not all players are region free capable.
Some players have locked firmware from the manufacturer (such as Sony and JVC) and some don't have the hardware necessary to perform the video conversion (PAL to NTSC or vice versa).Google is your Friend -
When i contacted Kenwood they said i could sent it in and they would convert it. I just dont want to send them out. That is why i am reasonably sure there is a hack, but finding it is the key. Kenwood is just so tight liped on it.

Kenwood likely isn't going to use a "hack code". They will likely flash an altered firmware.
And just as an FYI, anything that you do on your own, will likely void your warranty (if it is still covered).Google is your Friend
