Some time ago I read in this forum that replacing the printed circuit card may fix some dead harddrives. Where does one find these printed circuit cards. I have a harddrive that the motor won't spin. I think that someone tried to plug the power cord in backwards.

You would need to buy the same make, model and series of hard drive and use the circuit board from that.

Good suggestion. I have been to Seagate(Maxtor) and no help. I have been to all the computer supply sites that I trust and no luck. Google and Yahoo no help. Does anyone have an old harddrive laying around that they would sell to me-it doesn't have to work because all I want from it is the printed circuit board on the back of it. The nomenclature is:
Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 9
120GB ATA/133
6Y120P
thanks
