If I press for example jump the character jumps like a second later and it's really anoying
Somone know an other program that will find the "AVerMedia BDA Analog Capture Composite" entry or a way to fix it on Powercinema ?

THe computer is an Acer aspire 9803WKMi

That's right, you set it up that way in the first place. What you've done is to use your laptop to capture the video output from your PS2 using this capture hardware.

What you WANTED to do was to use a TV-In function so you could use your laptop's monitor as if it were a TV screen. Capturing is an active system intensive process and will introduce a slight delay between your actions on the PS2 and what is displayed on the screen. TV-In is passive process that bypasses all of that systemic processing and just displays in real-time what is being sent from your PS2.

So basically you need to verify whether your laptop has TV-In capability.

Post back and let us know!

Yes my laptop has TV capabilty, I have an antenna provide with and I can watch TV on it, the thing is that when you watch TV you don't care if it's delayed because you do not interact with it

It sounds like you are wanting to use your laptop LCD screen as a monitor. I doubt there is any connection to the LCD screen with any normal inputs. You would have to connect internally on the video card to the screen inputs and that's really not practical.

If you use the capture or video inputs of the laptop, they will go though the CPU and processing software and give you an inevitable delay.

So the "AVerMedia BDA Analog Capture Composite" is built into your laptop? I thought it was an external device. OK, if it's a built-in device, reading the manual for your product on the acer.com website yields the following:

    "TV (for selected models)
Arcade allows you to watch TV from your computer. Click the TV button on the home page to show the TV main page. The Live TV option plays TV on screen. Press Escape at any time to return to
    Arcade.

    . . . .

Note: For information on setting up and operating the TV mode
of Arcade please refer to the separate TV booklet."

I bet if you examine the TV booklet that came with your laptop it will describe how to view TV (or PS2 game in progress) without engaging the capture/recording function of the TV-tuner, as all tuners allow you to watch without necessarily recording.

    Best Wishes!

    Hi Exill,

What I was trying to explain is there must be somewhere in your documentation that explains how to disable the capturing feature of your card and use it strictly as a pass-through device for watching TV programs in real time. If you are able to do that then using your laptop monitor as a TV screen for playing games should also be possible in real time.

Have you checked your system documentation to verify this? Please let me know.

    Cheers!

PS - Your English is much better than my French, my friend! No need to apologize, as I understand you very well! Take Care!
