I was just using dvdSanta, and trying out the dvd I made on a dvd player. I also tried it on a laptop which has some dvd viewing software. Anyways, there appears to be no audio when I was sure I had turned up all the sound... Although, I'm only using the trial version right now.
I'm currently converting from .rmvb files right now. I also disabled LPCM audio compression in the advanced settings, if that matters. Does anyone know if dvdSanta supports audio?

It should, most any all-in-one converter does. However, it may depend on the format of the audio on the original file. DVD Santa is not a great converter, IMO. And RMVB can be difficult to convert to other formats. You might try to open one of the VOBs from the DVD in Gspot 2.70 and see if audio is listed and what format it is. It may be a odd format or out of spec. for a DVD.

Since you haven't bought the program, you might try ConvertXToDVD instead. It has a much higher success rate than the other all-in-one converters. But RMVB can still be problematic for conversions.

 And welcome to our forums.

Yeah i always use ConvertXtoDvd for all my flv's, divx/xvid...

And i HATE WITH A PASSION anything in rmvb format

 dvdSanta blows!!!

My son gets rmvb's sometimes and i could never get ConvertXtoDvd to work with them either... and i know i should be shot for saying this... and i prob. will, and i can't believe i am saying this
But the only thing i ever got to work with all the rmvb's i have ever seen was winavi

Thanks for the welcome But I'm not sure if rmvb is the problem or if dvdSanta is :P Oh well. I'm gonna go try what you said. Plus maybe if I convert rmvb in another converter, then converted it to DVD, it might work better. Thanks for the tip But I'm not sure if rmvb is the problem or if dvdSanta is :P Oh well. Also, anyone know a software that'll rip audio from media files like rmvb files? That would be a lot easier.

Does anyone know a program that can convert rmvb to video AND audio? WinAVI just freezes when it hits 2 percent, ConvertXtoDVD only does video, and same with dvdSanta. I'll try GoldWave out, though. I'll try GoldWave out, though.

Edit: Goldwave doesnt read files of the Real Player type. I'm getting frustrated now...

Unfortunately you are right (I have just checked that). Notwithstanding,Goldwave doesnt read files of the Real Player type.
several weeks ago I used Avisynth's filter "DirectShowSource" to open an RMVB file
 in VirtualDub and/or TMPGEnc. HTH.

Sorry, I think I just accidentally changed something, and ConvertXtoDVD works now. :P
But thanks anyway. Its the thought that counts. lets all be EVIL :)  lets all be EVIL :)

	(to whom this may concern)

one hour ago, I tried to open an RMVB with Avisynth+VirtualDub,
only to find that AVS's DirectShowSource had become unable to
deal with RealMedia. The cause of the problem: I had done a raw
uninstalling of Windows Media Player, and somehow my Real Alternative
went screwed. The solution: I copied the file RealMediaSplitter.ax to the
folder C:\Windows\system32\ and registered it with regsvr32.exe. Now
DirectShowSource is working 100% fine again, and yes,
now GoldWave can uncompress RealAudio without a complaint ^_^
