  1. 1) Using DVD2SVCD 1.0.6 build 1 I've converted 'The mummy' which went onto two CD's and I asked for subtitles. I've tried both SVCD and CVD subtitles but when I press the subtitle button on my DVD player (Minato DVD-G1) I just get the icon that says this is not available (a small hand). I've checked for my dvd players compatibility and it would seem I should be able to view the subtitles. How can I check they are actually on the CD? Does anyone else own this DVD player and has subtitles working?

    2) When the CD gets to the end the player sounds like it is rapidly trying to access the CD, the picture freezes and I have to switch the player off and on again. The change CD picture is not shown. I know the picture is on there because I can 'jump' forwards to it before the CD freezes. The CD seems to freeze just before it would show this picture. Any ideas?

    3) Please someone explain the 'bitrate' screen. Why has the default got both '740' and '800' selected? If I use 740 minute CD's should I set all the tabs to 740? Why is there two rows per CD? Why does the first CD have 76 minutes selected while the second CD has only a total of 49 minutes (0 to 76, then 76-125)? I must be totally missing the point somewhere!

    Thankyou for any answers.

  2. 1) I would suspect that your standalone doesn't support selectable SVCD subtitles (very few players do). Check the DVD players list to the left.

    2) Hard to say, but it sounds like you didn't burn the bin/cue file to 100%. Sometimes the VBR encoding is a little off and you get a 801~806MB file. Which should overburn ok, but sometimes doesn't. I suspect burning only got to 99% and then died

    3) This screen is kind of confusing. Just select 740MB or 800MB in all rows. The way it works is, for runtime of 0-50min use X discs, of size Y. But the easiest thing to do is just enter 800MB in all rows (I use 795 cause for some reason I can no longer overburn ), and the number of discs you want in all rows. This means that no matter what the run time, you'll get X discs of size Y. Eg. enter 2 CDRs in all rows, and 800MB in all rows).
