I would do capture of video images from TV without DVD support. The finality
is to obtain movies in Divx format.

I cannot do it with an optional tuner card on the PC with Windows Millenium
and I would try the Archos AV 700 system.

Is this a good solution or if there is a better solution to take into
consideration, I would know it before I buy the Archos AV 700 system.

I read there is a macrovision protection for the transfer of files, is this
usable for movie acquisition on TV ? I do not know what is macrovision. I
presume it is only for DVD or VHS but I'm not sure at all.

Another problem is the conversion of the MPEG 4 SP file to Divx. If no
solution with programs working under Windows Millenium, I'm back to the begin
problem.

I hope somebody has a meaning because I'm not sure at all this is the good place for posting the message.
