Preferably freeware because I might use it only once. I will combine 6 or 7 songs to create one big file. I will use this as a background music for a slideshow of about 600 pictures. Problem is, the slideshow program will only take one MP3 file. I read the description of Audacity but not sure if it can do this. Thanks.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I will ask you again if I encounter a problem. I am not a very technical person.

If all your MP3s are the same bitrate you can use MP3 DirectCut to join them too. That way you won't re-encode them.

Moviegeek - Audacity worked though it took awhile before I figured out the copy and paste thing. Thank you for reminding me about the normalization of audio. MP3 Gain worked well too.

Thanks also to olyteddy and tin2tin. I'll try your suggested programs. It wouldn't hurt to learn a couple more just in case.

I've never had any problems with MP3 Trimmer/Joiner - full function unlimited free trial as well!

ave to WAV for better quality.Use MP3Gain first to normalize the volume on all tracks, that way you don't get a loud song then a low one.
