You would need to give us more information. The name 'AVI' is about as descriptive as saying 'video'. What format or codec does it use? Drop it into Gspot 2.70 and post a screen shot would be the best way. Like this: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic271697.html Blank out the title if wanted.

And what are you using to convert to WMA? BTW, WMA is a audio format. Did you mean WMV? What bitrate, what format of WMV?

Generally, you should be able to maintain quality when changing formats most times. There will always be some conversion loses. But if you start out with high quality, you should be able to keep most of it. But it may end up being a larger file size.

    And welcome to our forums.

  3. download this short clip

notice, don't let me confuse you here from my awkwardness: the zip file is actually an "avi" file. here's how to rename it

    directions:
    1. then, start, run, cmd [enter]
    2. get to the sub-directory where the Riddick_Test.zip file is located
    3. rename Riddick_Test.zip *.avi
    4. now launch the avi or w/e to examine it

i am standing down, waiting your order.

I had to install fraps to open it, but I used Window Movie Maker and converted it using 'Video for lacal playback (2.1 Mbps NTSC) and I thought it looked fairly good for reducing it from 106MB to 2.4 MB. But I don't use WMV format or WMM very often.
