Either the disc is dirty, scratched or the drive is dying. What the error is saying is that it can't read the disc at sector 757519.

This is just an RW, so it has no copy protection. You can just drag the contents off it to your HDD.

Give the disc a clean (mild soap, soft cloth). If you have scratches, try white toothpaste - small amount, rub gently away from the centre.

Finally, try ISOPuzzle to see if it can reconstruct the missing parts.

guns1inger , you mean the one used by smokers to remove stains from teeth ... works better , and leaves nice minty smell wafing from cd/dvdrom .

As for the issue , its a newbie that needs info :

Commercial dvds , use dvdfab , theres a free one , that'll handle the ripping problem ... barring a poorly made commercial dvd ... like all those poor buggers that where not happy with the trilogy pack from starwars ... so many problems .

Dvddecrypter can not handle new commercial dvds unless you install pgcedit and the psl2 plugin ... I dont know if pgcedit has been updated to cover this problem ... so if you need the psl2 plugin I can email it to you .

Theres plenty of help here on that .

As for non-commercial disc's , home made , read area's come from dirty disc's , poor quality media originally used to store the data , or dirty lens in ripping unit .

If its poor media , for what ever reason , dvddecrypter can be set to ignore these issues , yet this will cause lose of data within these area's ... nothing you can do , but accept this condition and use a combination of tools like pgcdemux , vobblanker , cutterman to reedit these areas so as not to cause unacceptable play back conditions on your home dvd player ... they can accept some conditions , but I prefer to remove these from the start anyway .

As for the log , the device is a PHILIPS DVD+RW-D01 ... nothing in log suggests rw media

I'd leave those other recovery tools alone knowing the facts as to what causes read error issues to appear , but isopuzzle , as noted by guns1inger wont cost you a cent , but its need for the nero winaspi is a sticking point , which means you need a version of nero installed .

I used to like isobuster , till it went commercial ... hell no , but I think it dose everything for free , except those created using drop to cd apps .

    Cdcheck from http://www.kvipu.com/CDCheck/download.php , free for non-commercial use .

    After a search : http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/cd.html

    Recovery Toolbox for CD Free

A tool for recovering date from damaged CD/DVD/HD DVD/Blu-Ray disks ... now thats handy , just tested it .

Sometimes I've found that if one drive unit won't read a disc with DVD Decrypter, another one will. I keep an old DVD-ROM drive for that very purpose.
