I have been trying to create an automatic (no gui) process to convert DVDs to flv's. I found out that I cannot just rename a VOB to an MPG and then join the DVD's VOBs together. I have to use VOB2MPG, and then bring that MPG into a Flash transcoder like Flix or Flash Video Encoder. Squeeze can't extract the audio from MPG-2 files so it's pretty useless to me.
So what's the problem?
1) I have yet to find an "automated" or commandline version of a VOB to MPG converter. Does one exist? VOB2MPG is so good, but is GUI driven.
2) Is there an FLV transcoder that uses on2 vp6 that can go directly from VOB? I have searched and cannot locate.
3) Anyone using a FLV transcoder which uses on2 vp6 OTHER THAN: Flix, Squeeze, Flash Video Encoder? Flix Engine is super $$, Squeeze can't do audio on MPG-2, and Flash Video Encoder has no commandline/API mode.
Any info appreciated so much.

you can use virtualdubmod or mpeg2 to extract the wav out of the mpeg file. (normal virtualdub doesn't work on mpeg files).
