I have been using DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink for some time to archive my movies and have had no problems. I now have two discs that stop at the second chapter(the FBI copying
warning) and refuse to go farther. They will play fine when they are run on the computer with PowerDVD. The discs are Maxell. I have an NEC burner and I' m using WinXP. My computer is one I built from components. It is a P4 2.0 with two hard drives and 768 meg of memory. Any help would be appreciated. I've tried another brand of disc and it did the same.

Both programs you have used are no longer updated.
It is likely they have not produced a DVD which is sufficiently complient with specs to be compatible with your DVD player. This is highly likely if you have an old player.
Consider software which is updated to support more recent DVDs. -
Could also be bad media.
